Summer usually brings different needs to horses.

For example:

• Grazing horses need rock salt for their pasture. A lack of salt causes the horse to lose its appetite and become tired. Symptoms also include muscle stiffness, cramps, shortness of breath, and reduced milk production in mares. Salt deficiency can therefore also occur in grazing horses, as grass contains relatively little sodium and, correspondingly, a lot of potassium.
• Skin damage and itching caused by mites. These ailments are controlled with Sanocyn Forte products, Biobzz skin cream, which is suitable for everyone, and finishing with Virbacin Dermacool, for example, for itchy tails.
